Rogavi is an exciting new way to help charities raise more money. It takes a proven method of fundraising - the charity raffle - and makes it work even better online.

In all of our raffles, we may include the option for players to donate directly as well as buying a raffle ticket.
We realise that companies may want to support charities in kind with prizes. There is a significant Corporate Social Responsibility dividend that can be gained from supporting charities in this way. Rogavi is currently working with a selected number of charities and those are what you see on the drop down list. If there is a charity you would like to support and you do not see it please contact us.
Registering for Rogavi makes it easier for you to use our service in the future. Once entered, your details will be securely stored and you will not need to enter them again. You can sign into your Account page at any time to view details of raffles that you have entered and any prizes you have donated, or to edit any of your account details. By submitting your email address it also means you will receive our newsletter, which will keep you updated with latest raffles, winners and other news. There is an option for you to opt out of this if you do not want to receive it.
Rogavi accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Delta, Switch and Visa Electron. We guarantee that it will be a secure transaction as our website uses the strongest commercially available level of encryption - 128-bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL) verified with a Network Solutions SSL Certificate. This means that your transactions are secure and your information cannot be hijacked or redirected to anyone but Rogavi. Look for the 'padlock' symbol in your browser as a sign of this. For added security we also use Verified by Visa and Mastercard security.
Unfortunately, as with an offline charity fundraising event, tickets purchased in a raffle are not eligible for Gift Aid. However, if you simply want to make a donation to your charity, instead of or as well as entering the raffle, then these donations are eligible for Gift Aid. Rogavi will collect all the information you require so that you can claim the tax back.
The winner will be drawn as soon as the closing date is reached, using the Rogavi system's random number generator. Winners will be notified by email and online within 48 hours that they have been successful.
Rogavi is PCI compliant, which is an essential requirement for any organisation which takes credit card payments. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a worldwide information security standard defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. This standard was created to help organisations that process card payments to prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. The standard applies to all organisations that hold, process, or exchange cardholder information. You will receive your ticket(s) via email after you have paid, and every player is notified when the draw takes place, whether they have won or not.
Entering raffles is technically classed as gambling. We want you to enjoy your experience with us and therefore ask you to enter responsibly. Gambling is fun as long as you stay in control, but if you think that you might have a problem there are a number of organisations that can help you - including http://www.gambleaware.co.uk and http://www.gamcare.org.uk
The likelihood of winning a particular raffle, assuming only one prize is being offered, is one divided by the number of tickets sold. For example, if there are 100 tickets sold for a particular campaign, each ticket has a 1 in 100 or 0.01 chance of winning. If you buy multiple tickets then your chances of winning increase. In the example, if you purchased five tickets then you would have a 5 in 100 (1 in 20) or 0.05 chance of winning. Having said this, you will of course not know the odds of winning a specific raflfle when you buy a ticket, as you do not know how many tickets will eventually be sold.
Rogavi Network Ltd. is licensed with the Gambling Commission as External Lottery Manager (Type F, Remote) Licence number is 000-007620-R-101758-001. This is the regulatory body for casinos, bingo clubs and gaming machines, as well as for the larger society and all local authority lotteries in Great Britain. It regulates gambling in the public interest, by keeping crime out of the business, by ensuring that gambling is conducted fairly and openly, and by protecting children and vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling. The Gambling Commission also provides independent advice to the Government on gambling in Britain.
To cover the cost of running the system, Rogavi takes a standard fee of 15% of the proceeds for each raffle, with no hidden fees added. So the charity will receive 85% of the money generated from your ticket sale. By law, a minimum of 20% of all proceeds of a raffle or lottery must go to the charity. As a comparison, the National Lottery returns 28% for good causes. With Rogavi, you are giving directly to the charities you want to support, and those charities are receiving 80% of ticket sales.
We act as the External Lottery Manager for the charity. This means that we manage all aspects of each raffle programme under licence from the Gambling Commission, including unlimited transactions, regulatory compliance, ticketing, accounting and lottery returns. We also provide a range of other support services for charities, including advice on how to promote their raffles more effectively and how to sell more tickets.

All funds from your ticket purchase are credited to a client account held with Barclays Bank PLC on behalf of Rogavi, which is entirely separate from Rogavi's trading accounts. This is a key requirement of the Gambling Commission's license compliance and is there to protect both you and the charity. When a raffle takes place, proceeds are paid directly from this account to the charity, so that they can pay the winner and retain the remainder of the funds raised.
Some issuing banks do charge a 'cash advance' fee for using a credit card to buy online raffle tickets as sadly, they class this as 'gambling'. However, Rogavi is working hard to get this changed. When you purchase tickets you will receive a warning stating that this might happen and advising you to use a debit card instead.
When you buy a ticket online, it is allocated a unique reference number. After the closing date of the raffle, which will be indicated on the website, the winner will be drawn using Rogavi's random number generator. Winners will be notified by email and online within 48 hours that they have been successful.
